Team Member President

Gary Marx, President, Madison Strategies, Atlanta

Gary Marx is co-founder of Madison Strategies and currently serves as a Senior Advisor for Scott Walker's Our American Revival & the Judicial Crisis Network. He launched Madison Strategies with his long-time friend Jason Miyares after serving almost three years at the helm of the GA-based Faith & Freedom Coalition as Executive Director. Prior to joining FFC he was Vice President at Century Strategies heading up their Washington D.C. office while also serving as Executive Director for the Judicial Crisis Network, which works to confirm judges to the nation’s courts who follow judicial restraint and written words of the Constitution.


His career path has included high level postings as Senior Advisor to Marco Rubio for President, Conservative Coalitions Director for the Romney presidential campaign in 2008 and also at the Bush-Cheney 04 national campaign headquarters where he spearheaded outreach to social conservatives. His coalitions program helped increase the President’s share of the “values voters” to 21.3 million or 36 percent of the total Bush vote. Gary is a media veteran and has done hundreds of television, print, and radio interviews including CNN, CBN, CSPAN and FOX NEWS. He has also been a featured speaker for prominent organizations such as The Federalist Society, The Leadership Institute, Hanns Seidel Foundation, AIPAC and The Council for National Policy.


Marx has a degree in Political Science from James Madison University. Gary holds a Master’s degree in Political Management from Regent University. He is married to Aimee and is the father of three children.


Travis Korson Senior Vice President

Travis Korson

Travis Korson is a veteran of politics with years of experience in campaigns, communications, public policy and fundraising.

Travis served in the Bush White House and has spent time at various public policy organizations and government institutions including the Heritage Foundation, Americans for Prosperity, the Faith and Freedom Coalition and the Rhode Island General Assembly. He is a guest lecturer with the Leadership Institute and has also previously served as the National Committeeman for the DC Young Republicans and in various leadership roles within the DC Republican Party. Travis has spoken at several conferences, including the Conservative Political Action Conference, the State Policy Network annual meeting, Red State Gathering the Road to Majority Conference, and Freedom Fest. His expertise has been quoted in several publications including the Washington Post and he has been published at various outlets including Townhall, Daily Caller, American Spectator, and Breitbart. He is a graduate of the George Washington University where he studied International Affairs with a focus on International Economics.

Team Member Outside Counsel

Anthony J. “A.J.” Ferate, J.D.

Anthony J. “A.J.” Ferate has built a multi-faceted background in the areas of the law, policy, elections and defense over the last 20 years.


Currently employed as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (“OIPA”), A.J. maintains responsibilities over all government efforts outside of the legislative branch on matters as broad as water, electric generation, commodity marketing, land matters and seismicity. A.J. also maintains responsibility for legal matters at OIPA.


Prior to working for OIPA, A.J. managed public policy strategy for Fortune 500 Company Devon Energy. Other previous employment includes management of the Oklahoma City office of Ryan Glover LLP, a Houston-based energy law firm. A.J. also served as general counsel and chief financial officer of the American Clean Skies Foundation, where his primary responsibilities included all legal, financial, and policy matters of the Foundation.


A.J.’s practice areas include oil and gas law, utility law, energy regulation, campaign finance and election law, state and federal Constitutional matters and practicing in the public policy arena.


For the past five years, A.J. has volunteered as General Counsel to the Oklahoma Republican Party and has represented a number of elected officials, including U.S. Senator James Lankford as well as a number of state legislators and members of Congress. A.J. also holds current representation of Coach Joe Kennedy, a football coach for the Bremerton (WA) School District. The district recently suspended Coach Kennedy for praying on the field after football games.


Additionally, A.J. has assisted elected officials serve their constituents in all branches of government. Early in his career, A.J. held legislative aide duties in the Nebraska Legislature, then went on to work for Former Nebraska Treasurer David Heineman. A.J. gained experience in the judiciary while serving Judge Gary L. Lumpkin at the Oklahoma Court of Appeals, the highest criminal appellate court in Oklahoma. Following this service, A.J. began work with Denise A. Bode of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, assisting her in her duties regulating 80 per cent of Oklahoma’s economy, including oil and gas and electric utilities.


A.J. honorably served ten years as an intelligence analyst for the United States Naval Reserve, including time at the Office of Naval Intelligence in the greater Washington DC area.


A native of Bremerton, Washington and an alumnus of the University of Nebraska and the Oklahoma City University School of Law, A.J. holds licenses to practice law in Oklahoma and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.


A.J. and his wife Kristen have been married ten years, have two daughters, Clara and Grace and a son, Winn.

Chase Reed

Chase Reed is a native of Georgia where he works tirelessly to get conservatives elected at all stations of government. Chase specializes in grassroots mobilization and has worked on several statewide political campaigns in Georgia. Most recently Chase worked on the Collins for Congress Campaign where he handled the day to day operations of highly competitive district wide race. Collins finished the race with a 20 point victory in a 5 person primary; avoiding a runoff. Past work includes: Martha for Congress (2012), Jack Kingston for U.S. Senate (2014), and Governor Deal’s 2014 re-election campaign. Chase also works closely with the Georgia Republican Party. Chase is a seasoned face under the Gold Dome where he assists Legislators on various issues.


Reed is a graduate of several leadership institutes including Hall County Youth Mentorship, The National Youth Leadership Council, and graduated in the inaugural class of the Philos Leadership Institute.


Chase is a frequent commentator on Georgia Politics. He has been published in several different places including marthazoller.com, zpolitcs, and Voices Magazine. Chase has written on several different topics such as education reform, news under the Gold Dome, and policy analyzation.


Chase studies Political Science at the University of North Georgia. He serves the Georgia Federation of Young Republicans as the North Georgia Regional Director and also as a GYR County Chairman.

Orit Kwasman

Orit (Sklar) Kwasman is a nationally acclaimed conservative and communications and fundraising consultant. Sought after by presidential campaigns and national organizations alike, Orit has worked with high profile clients and initiatives, most recently serving as the Development Director at the Faith & Freedom Coalition (FFC). Over the course of five years, Orit helped FFC grow to become America’s largest and most influential organization dedicated to educating and mobilizing people of faith for effective civic action.


As a political writer and commentator, Orit has contributed to leading publications and provided election and political analysis for CNN's Newsroom, a wide range of radio programs, and The Georgia Gang, Fox 5 Atlanta's weekly political television roundtable. She is a frequent featured speaker at conservative conferences and events and has been particularly involved in issues related to culture, millennials and Israel. Orit is known nationwide for her advancement of First Amendment rights and academic freedom on American university campuses. Over a decade ago, as a student, Orit challenged Georgia Tech’s unconstitutional restrictions on free speech and religious liberty. Her successful suit (Sklar v. Clough) made national headlines and was a landmark case in a series of precedent-setting victories for students. Orit’s record of conservative leadership led her to being named a co-recipient of the 2009 Ronald Reagan Award from the American Conservative Union


A native of Mount Vernon, New York, Orit graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007, receiving a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. Orit currently serves on various national and local boards, including Teneo and Young America's Foundation. She, her husband, Adam, and their son, Zev reside in Scottsdale, Arizona, where they are members of Congregation Beth Tefillah.
